Elmhurst, IL, January 11, 2021 – The Pythagoras Children’s Academy will host its Annual Winter Gala on Saturday, February 6, 2021, beginning at 6:30 p.m. CST. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the school will present its first ever virtual event to help continue their mission of preserving Orthodoxy and Hellenism while educating its students.
Participants will help underwrite the event and support the students at Pythagoras Children’s Academy by helping provide the technology, resources and teacher training needed to help maintain PCA’s reputation as the leading institution of Orthodox Christian Parochial elementary school education in the western suburbs.
“Pythagoras Children’s Academy provides a high-quality education, while focusing on important Orthodox and Hellenic values,” said PCA School Board President Kalina Giannakopoulos. “We believe in educating the whole child, and are proud to be able to do this daily at PCA through the focus on rigorous curriculum, Orthodox values, the teachings of our beloved Hellenic heritage and the Greek language.”
Everyone’s favorite Greek American Comedian, Basile the Comedian, will host this year’s event and entertain guests with his live comedy throughout the evening. Attendees will also hear from the Very Reverend Archimandrite Dionysios Anagnostopoulos, Ieratikos Proistamenos at the school’s home parish of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Demetrios in Elmhurst; and learn more about PCA from School Board President Kalina Giannakopoulos; Co-Director and Kindergarten Teacher Pamela Kostopoulos; and Co-Director and Second Grade Teacher Staci Tagaris-Ward.
Attendees can also participate in a live raffle to support the school for a chance to win items such as gift cards to local businesses, Kendra Scott jewelry, beauty and salon products and services, Pampered Chef products, Norwex products and so much more! Raffle tickets are available for $5 per ticket, or in a bundle of five tickets for $20.
Attendees who purchase a Luxe Ticket to the event for $200 will get a Charcuterie Board created by Grazing Table Chicago and a bottle of wine. General admission for the online event is $75. Sponsorship opportunities are also available to help further the school’s mission. The deadline to become a sponsor for this worthy cause is January 31, 2021.
