PCA Parents Make a Difference

PPO is the Pythagoras Parents Organization of PCA. PPO encourages parent, teacher and community involvement by providing opportunities for parents to become active members of the PCA family. PPO parents may volunteer to be room parents to assist with class parties or field trips. They can also help with set up at school sponsored events, fundraisers and preparing and serving hot lunches. 

The students reap the benefits by the involvement and support of all the parents involved in PPO. By doing so, the parents also support the educational goals of the school, thus extending those goals to the students through fundraising efforts which provide our school needed and extra supplies that go above and beyond the school budget.

From fundraising efforts, PPO completed a technology initiative to equip all classrooms with interactive white boards. In the past, PPO has also funded the purchase of additional ChromeBooks, which allowed us to complete the school’s goal of 1:1 technology for grades 1st through 4th. 

There are so many ways to get involved: board positions, hot lunch, room moms, class party volunteers, and more. PPO meets once a month, and welcomes input, ideas, and participation from all parents. We thank you and look forward to your involvement!
