Welcome to Pythagoras Children’s Academy!
Dear Families,
On behalf of the School Board, we warmly welcome you to Pythagoras Children’s Academy, an Orthodox Christian Parochial Day School! As a ministry of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Elmhurst, Pythagoras Children’s Academy provides an Orthodox and Hellenic education to the children of the western Chicago suburbs. PCA teaches children how to live an Orthodox Christian life, while learning about their Hellenic heritage, and ultimately provides an excellent, academic environment that meets and exceeds the requirements of the Illinois State Board of Education. All are welcome to attend and partake in our wonderful, parochial school.
Named after Pythagoras of Samos, an ancient Ionian Greek Philosopher who called himself a “lover of wisdom,” Pythagoras Children’s Academy follows suit in intersecting the importance of the eternal soul with the importance of learning mathematics, science, reading and the arts. Students of PCA also experience daily STEAM activities integrated in different aspects of their day. They learn to chant the hymns of the Church in both English and Greek. They learn the foundation of physical fitness. They learn to live healthy, balanced lives. Parents ultimately choose to enroll their children in PCA for the safe, loving environment it provides, helping their children grow holistically in mind, body, and soul.
We invite you to explore our website, call or email us for a visit.
Thank you for your interest and support!
In Christ,
