Hello, PCA Families!

I hope you are doing well and enjoying your summer!

We have exciting news to share with you! First and most importantly, our school will be open for in-person instruction for the 2020-2021 school year, unless otherwise noted. We are truly blessed to have small class sizes now more than ever. Our plan is to reopen with in-person instruction while following the proper social distancing requirements and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Even though school will look a bit different in the fall, we are excited and eager to welcome our students back to school. We will provide whatever means necessary to keep your children safe, in a loving and caring environment, while still providing a top-notch education. There’s no place like PCA!

I want to quickly update you on the following:

The new state guidelines released on June 23, 2020 allow for in-person instruction while following specific guidelines. These are a few of the minimum public health requirements that ALL public and nonpublic schools must follow as we create our reopening plans:

  1. All students and staff will be required to wear face masks or face shields throughout the school
  2. Schools are required to conduct daily symptom screenings as well as temperature checks or require self-certification that staff and students are symptom free before entering
  3. Social distancing to be observed as much as possible inside and outside of the Social distancing markings to be used as reminders.
  4. Increase in school-wide cleaning and
  5. Schools are to prohibit more than 50 individuals from gathering in one

We have formed a Planning Committee to prepare for the upcoming school year. The Planning Committee will prepare and publish the new guidelines for the 2020-2021 school year.

Once our official guidelines are complete and approved, we will email them to all of our families. We will be sure to keep you updated and well informed as much as possible.

We are awaiting confirmation from the Metropolis in order to confirm our start date.

IMPORTANT ENROLLMENT INFORMATION:

Please be sure to register as soon as possible. In order to properly follow social distancing guidelines, we will only be able to accommodate a certain number of students per class. Students will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Once you register, you will receive an email confirmation if all fees are paid for and if there is availability in the class.

If you have already registered, you should receive your Registration Packet by August 1st. Registration Packets will include all necessary forms to be filled out and dropped off on or before Orientation Day. The yearly calendar, supply lists, as well as other pertinent information will be included in the Registration packets.

If you have not done so already, please be sure to complete your Enrollment Application online at https://pythagoraschildrensacademy.org/admissions-application/.

You will be prompted to pay your deposit via PayPal at the same time. Please keep in mind, in order for your application to be complete you must also fulfill your church stewardship commitment of $550. You may also pay your church stewardship commitment online here.
