Location: Greek Orthodox Church of St. Demetrios in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Certifications: All full-time teachers are Illinois State Certified.
ISBE Recognition Status: Based on a review by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and recommendations from the applicable regional superintendent of schools, PCA is fully recognized.
Grades: Full time and part time Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten, and full time Kindergarten.
Programs: The St. Demetrios Pythagoras School Board oversees Pythagoras Children’s Academy, as well as Pythagoras Greek School (Monday/Wednesday evening language and heritage program), and Pythagoras Saturday Greek School (Saturday language and heritage program).
Class Size: The typical classroom size at PCA is 7-12 students.

Nut-Free: To help ensure the safety of our students with allergies, PCA is a nut-restricted school.

Not all of our students are Greek. Studies continually show that learning a foreign language contributes to academic success. PCA offers not only early foreign language study, but also a Christian-based, solid educational experience for all.
